Guidelines to Enjoy Better Instruction & Participation
Enroll in our dance classes with patient, friendly and professional dance instructors at our school in Brunswick or St. Simons Island, Georgia. Jill Stanford Dance Center is dedicated to maintaining an air of professionalism and neatness with our dance instruction and classes. We invite everyone to read the following policies and adhere to them in our dance lessons.
Registration
The registration fee for our dance lessons is due at the time of registration. All students must register before attending classes. $30.00 for the first child; $10.00 for each additional child in the family. *Registration fee is non-refundable. Please note there is a $5 service fee for online payments.
Placement
Students are individually placed in classes according to age, skill level, ability, experience and classroom attitude. Students transferring from other schools are placed in a class for evaluation based on their previous dance history. Class levels are carefully graded and because each student progresses at a different rate, class schedules are subject to change.
Late Registrations
Students registering after the season has begun will be placed in on-going classes where space is available. New classes will be formed as needed.
Tuition
Tuition is not based on the number of classes per month, but is a yearly fee for the total classes provided in the school term. Fees are due and payable in advance to Jill Stanford Dance Center the 1st of every month, August through May. $5.00 late fee will be added to accounts paid after the 10th of each month. We do not send statements. There are no refunds or credits for lessons missed. However, the student can make up classes missed. A $20.00 fee will be charged for returned checks. *Monthly tuition is non-refundable.
Cancellation
If a student wishes to withdraw, notification must be received in our office by the 15th of the month. If you do not notify our office, your account will remain active and you are responsible for payment regardless of the student's absences.
End-of-Year Performance
Our annual performance takes place in May. This provides stage experience in professional surroundings as well as the opportunity to show family and friends the progress students have made throughout the year. A $65.00 costume fee for all Kinderdance, 6 and 8 year old combination classes, acrobatics, pre-jazz and Intro to Jazz classes is due between September and December 1. The costume fee is $75.00 for 1-hour ballet classes and $135.00 each for Jazz and Tap combination classes for ages 6 and up. Stanford Style Dance Company classes are $75.00 per costume per class. These fees are due in full by the last week in October. A small admission fee will be charged for the recital. We take great pride in putting on a quality show that we can all be proud of; no video equipment is permitted.
